The limited-edition McLaren P1 GTR will make its global debut in production form at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show in March. You may remember that the concept first appeared at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance last year.

This track-only model – the most powerful and most exclusive McLaren to date – is reserved for a small number of customers who already own a McLaren P1. Production is expected to start in June, right after the 375th and final P1 rolls off the assembly line.

While technical specs have not been disclosed yet, McLaren claims that the new P1 GTR will boast a power-to-weight ratio increase in excess of 10% over the road-going model, to more than 690 horsepower per tonne.

Since the McLaren P1 produces more than 900 horsepower from a hybrid system that combines a 3.8L twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, expect the P1 GTR to generate over 1,000 horsepower.

Testing is currently underway across Europe and the Middle East.
