Showcasing modified vehicles, the Specialty Equipment Market Association show (SEMA) is the most impressive of its kind. Mercedes-Benz will have its own booth, promoting its new 2010 GLK-Class with four modified versions of the SUV.

Brabus Widestar

To do so, the manufacturer called upon four specialized tuning companies.

The first of which, RENNTech, designed the Rally Racer, a concept inspired by the cars competing in the famous Pikes Peak hill climb. To increase the GLK's power, RENNTech actually equipped it with a hybrid system!

Straight out of Germany, the BRABUS Widestar is a wider version of the GLK 320 BlueTec. It features flared fenders, restyled bumpers, BRABUS wheels and a matching interior.

As for the Urban Whip, it'll turn heads with its wider body, its completely redesigned cabin, its 26-inch alloy wheels and its powerful sound system.

Finally, Legendary Motor Cars will present the Four Corners Rock Crawler, an all-terrain version of the GLK, namely featuring a ramp sure to make skaters happy.

Alongside this show, Mercedes-Benz is organizing a contest to identify the most popular of the four versions. The public gets to vote for its favourite, and the results will be revealed on December 2.

The 2010 GLK350 will hit dealerships in January 2009.
