Several sources indicate that the MINI Superleggera concept, which made its debut last year, will enter production in 2018 and go on sale in a number of yet-unspecified markets worldwide.
This production model will be based on the same platform as the third-generation MINI and offer a choice of two engines including a 1.5L 3-cylinder and a 2.0L 4-cylinder.
The automaker says the design will closely resemble the MINI Superleggera concept except that the fog lights will no longer be in the grille and the windshield will have a frame. The Union Jack taillights will remain, though.
