J.D. Power’s 2015 APEAL Study lists the most attractive cars right now

J.D. Power's 2015 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study was released this week, offering a barometer of owner satisfaction based on 77 criteria such as navigation, design, and fuel economy.

For the 11th year in a row, Porsche leads all car manufacturers with 874 points out of a possible 1,000. It is followed by Jaguar (855) and BMW (854). The highest-ranked non-luxury make is MINI with a score of 825.

Here are the top 10 most appealing car brands in 2015 according to J.D. Power:

  • Jaguar (855)
  • BMW (854)
  • Mercedes-Benz (853)
  • Audi (852)
  • Land Rover (843)
  • Lincoln (842)
  • Cadillac (838)
  • Infiniti (835)
  • Lexus (831)

The Americans are well represented among non-luxury makes:

  • MINI (825)
  • Hyundai (809)
  • Volkswagen (806)
  • GMC (804)
  • Ram (803)
  • Buick (801)
  • Ford (798)
  • Kia (798)
  • Chevrolet (797)
  • Mazda (796)

Surprisingly, Honda (786), Nissan (786), and Toyota (781) landed way below the industry average (798). The least attractive brands, according to the 2015 J.D. Power APEAL Study, are smart (683) and Fiat (749).
