The new 2003 Model Year S-TYPE sedan range retains its highlydistinctive, stylish and admired exterior design while a thorough engineeringprogram sees approximately 70 per cent new content in the car. The result is anew S-TYPE lineup that provides more of what premium sedan buyers want: moreluxury, more safety, more refinement, and more performance. Major improvementsinclude:
- All-new interior
- New suspension
- Two new transmissions including 'first-in-segment' 6-speed automatic and 5-speed manual
- Revised 3.0-litre V6 with 240bhp
- New 4.2-litre V8 with 300bhp
- New 4.2-litre V8 supercharged with 400bhp
The S-TYPE sedan range doubled Jaguar North America's sales afterintroduction as the company's third model line in May 1999. The new rangearrives at a time when the company is delivering strong overall sales, mostrecently reporting a successful February with a year-to-date year-over-yearsales increase of 74 percent.
"The S-TYPE launched in May of 1999, proved to be a very successfulproduct for Jaguar.
