Ducati's Casey Stoner crashed out again like he did in the last race as he was leading, handing out the victory to series leader Valentino Rossi at the Misano circuit in San Marino.

The Australian was more than three seconds ahead of Rossi when he fell on lap eight, allowing Rossi to collect a third straight win and extend his championship lead to almost an umbeattable 75 points.

Rossi's teammate Jorge Lorenzo completed a one-two for the factory Yamaha team. Great performance for Toni Elias (Ducati) who finishes third in front of Repsol Honda ace Dani Pedrosa.
