Even though Honda's top brass decided to withdraw from Formula One, this decision to will not have any effect on the Repsol Honda MotoGP team.
Honda Europe's spokesman, Paul Ormond, stated that the MotoGP program is not under any threat and it should not have any bearings on any other Honda motorsports programs.
"We will be looking at reducing our costs," Ormond stated. "As we're sure other teams will be doing too, in MotoGP and other motorcycle activities."
