Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo confirmed that he will race next week-end at the MotoGP French Grand Prix at Le Mans despite his injuries but that he won't be fully fit although his mental condition should made him strong.

"I won't be at 100% for Le Mans but my mental condition should make me strong at one of my favourite circuits and I am really looking forward to the race just the same," the Spaniard said.

Lorenzo injured both his ankles in a dramatic crash during practice in China since then; the Spaniard has been confined to a wheelchair.

In the meantime his teammate and winner of the last race in China, Italian Valentino Rossi, is aiming to repeat his performances into the next race in France.

The Italian scored his first victory of the season in Shanghai which was his first in eight races since September last year, and with a run of seven races in nine weeks beginning in France this weekend, the Italian wants to carry on his momentum.

"This is the start of the busiest phase of the championship and it's always hard work but also great fun. Let's hope we can get this run of races off to the best possible start in France," declares Rossi.
