According to reports, Marco Melandri should learn any time now what will be his faith at the Ducati team but reports suggests that the Italian won't be back for the next MotoGP round in Brno.

Melandri has had a dismal season with Ducati where he only scored 32 points in ten races while his teammate, Casey Stoner, has 187 and four victories and a number of poles.

Former MotoGP rider Sete Gibernau, who was hired recently as a test driver at Ducati, is expected to be confirmed as the Melandri's replacement for the remainder of the season. The team had already announced at Laguna Seca that Melandri's contract had not be renewed for 2009.
