Maybe all the good names really are used up. Suzuki's latest concept vehicle is designed to appeal to the lifestyles of thrill seekers and enthusiasts, and it's simply called the Zuk.

It's inspired by world-renowned sportbikes and derived from the SX4 sport crossover, thus delivering functionality both on the road and on the track. It seems an ideal match for a motorcycle enthusiast who wants to race cars as

well.

The concept Zuk is fully driveable and has been track tested to ensure excellent stability and handling characteristics. The bodywork takes cues from the Hayabusa and GSX-R motorcycles, including ground effects, mirrors, spoiler and exhaust. A fully tuned sports suspension is fitted as are 19-inch wheels and high performance tires.

Inside is a GSX-R inspired instrument cluster, racing seats, charcoal and carbon fibre trim, and even centre-mounted switches and gauges. The driver and passenger foot platforms are machined from aluminum and cantilevered for a motorcycle-like feel.

Power comes from a 2.0 litre turbocharged and intercooled four-cylinder engine with an alcohol injection system, good for some 300 horsepower. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The ultimate street-going Suzuki on four wheels is built by Road Race Motorsports in Santa Fe Springs, California.
