NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler met the representatives of the medias on Tuesday in Montreal, as he announced that he would compete in the NAPA Auto Parts 200, round of the Nationwide series.
After eight races so far this season, Sadler lies in 6th place in the point standings, driving the No. 2 OneMain Financial Chevrolet for Kevin Harvick Inc.
The promoter of the event, Francois Dumontier acknowledged in his introduction that he first got in touch with Sadler in Daytona back in February. “I was curious to see why everybody is talking about that Montreal race,” said Sadler.
“The hospitality of the fans is just unbelievable. Whether it is at the race track or downtown, people are extremely friendly. It will be the first time a member of the Sadler family will be racing in Canada,” Sadler indicated.
Sadler admitted that he was in Montreal to discover the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, the 4.4-km road course.
