No surprises here, Kyle Busch’s victory at Nationwide Series race at Talladega had a little bit of something for everyone.

There were 56 lead changes, 11 cautions and two red flag stoppages.

Despite the green-white-checkered rule NASCAR officials ended the race under caution after Mike Wallace flipped and ended up on his roof on the second attempt at a finish.

Steve O’Donnell Vice President of Racing Operations tweeted “For the record, we don't like finishing under caution! If we can avoid it we will certainly try.”

Kyle Busch thought his day was done, 28 laps from the end, when he was spun in a 21-car wreck. But his Joe Gibbs Racing team crew restored his car not to good-looking, but, running shape.

Pointing at his battered Toyota after the race, Busch said “Look at the thing. I got hit, like, three times on the left side. These guys did a great job putting this thing back together.”

Joey Logano Busch’s teammate helped push the winner to victory but also had battle scars on his Toyota. "I got hit in the door. My bumpers are falling off," he said. "It was crazy out there."

Joe Nemechek finished third.

Mike Wallace who had been in contention for the win going down to the white flag lap was hit and went airborne. After a complete rollover, somehow, it landed rightside up on it’s tire. Like an action movie he recovered to drive it into the pits.

“It was fun racing. I guess the push was just too great and I got sideways, and the next thing I know I was flying,” Wallace said.

With his 47th win in the Nationwide Series Busch needs only two more victories to be tied with Mark Martin for the all-time winner title. It was his fourth series’ win this year.

With Brad Keselowski, another full-time Cup Series driver in fourth Elliott Sadler was the highest finishing Nationwide Series title contender.

Under new NASCAR rules a driver may only earn points in one series.

Jason Leffler, who finished 15th moved into the series lead by two points over Justin Allgaier, who finished seventh. Sadler is third five points behind the leader.
