Roush Fenway Racing driver Matt Kenseth's wife Katie was slightly injured in a crash during practice for a charity race next month.
The "Better Half Dash" race will feature wives and girlfriends of 14 NASCAR drivers from various series.
Katie Kenseth suffered a broken scapula in the accident.
Adrian Parker, Charlotte Motor Speedway's spokesman said Katie crashed a Bandolero during the first practice session on the quarter-mile track, which uses part of pit road and the front stretch of the 1.5-mile main track. She was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.
"That didn't turn out so well." Matt Kenseth said in a tweet.
"Katie and I are home, she has a broken scapula and some bumps and bruises. Thanks for all the well wishes."
"She said that was the shortest racing career in history!" Kenseth said in another message.
