Alex Tagliani will finally be on the track in Phoenix this coming week-end for the next Nationwide race with the team of Randy McDonald after his participation in Teaxs was postponed.

The IRL owner/driver won’t be able to get familiar with the tri-oval circuit since he won’t have any extra time to test on it. The Canadian will only have the regular practice sessions to learn more about the track where he only run once back in his CART days.

The Phoenix circuit is one of compromise since all three turns have different angles as well as different bankings so that no settings can be made so to reach maximum performance all the way around.

So “Tag” will make his debut on the No.81 Dodge on one of the most difficult track and he says that, unlike IndyCar where he totally understand the car he’s driving, this coming race will be quite a challenge.

On positive note is that the car is already qualified to be on the starting line so that Tagliani and the team will be able to work almost exclusively on race set-ups.

Meanwhile, Tagliani confirmed that his new IRL team, FazzT Racing, should take part in some tests in December. They will run one day at the Miami Homestead circuit as well as spending another day on a road circuit in preparation for the 2010 season.
