Canadian race car driver Patrick Carpentier will be back behind the wheel of the NASCAR Sprint Cup car later this season to compete in at least three races.

Carpentier’s manager Robert Desrosiers confirmed to Auto123.com on Tuesday that the Canadian would again take the wheel of the No. 26 Ford of Bill Jenkins’ Latitude 43 Motorsport.

“Patrick will drive the Ford in three events for sure: Kansas (October 3), Fontana (October 10) and Charlotte (October 16). That’s a done deal. Now, we’re still negotiating to see Patrick contest three or four additional races this year,” Desrosiers told Auto123.com.

Carpentier has performed very well so far this season in the No. 26 car of Jenkins. Considering this is a very small team working on a very limited budget, Carpentier finished an average position of 26th out of 43 in his three outings with the team. He did not crash the car and collected $257,675 in prize money.
