Canadian Patrick Carpentier will be back behind the wheel of a Sprint Cup car this weekend on the scenic road course of Watkins Glen in the State of New York.
Carpentier was called by Latitude 43 Racing to fill in for Boris Said, their road course specialist, who will replace Brian Vickers in the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota Camry.
The French Canadian -- a former ChampCar and IndyCar competitor -- will be behind the wheel of the No. 26 Ford Fusion usually piloted by Said on the road circuits and by David Stremme on the ovals.
Another Canadian will be in action Saturday. Former Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve will be driving the No. 32 Dollar General Camry of Braun Racing in the Nationwide series’ race.
Auto123.com will be on site and will be posting reports and photos from the event.
