The all-new Lincoln Navigator Concept made its world debut today at the 2016 New York Auto Show, offering a glimpse at what comes next for the brand’s best-known nameplate. And boy, does it look good!

Similar to other Lincoln products, the Navigator Concept oozes class and luxury. Lincoln's design team drew inspiration from luxury sailboats and yachts when penning the vehicle. The clean, modern lines and Storm Blue paint on the exterior mimic the grays and blues of sea and sky, while the wheels are reminiscent of certain seashells.

In keeping with the theme, gullwing doors provide easy access to the roomy and luminous cabin where high-tech appointments prevail. Of course, the triple retractable side steps help, too. Each headrest in the first two rows comes with a large-sized tablet on the back, and there’s even a wardrobe-type storage system inside!
The six premium leather seats in the new Lincoln Navigator Concept adjust 30 ways to best support occupants’ different body types. Other highlights include Pre-Collision Assist, Pedestrian Detection, a 360-degree camera with enhanced park assist, a lane-keeping system with steering wheel vibrations, and a large panel screen that clearly displays key information for the driver.

What about the powertrain? Here, sophistication comes in the form of a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces in excess of 400 horsepower. Smart new technologies also help this luxury SUV adapt to different road surfaces and weather conditions.

Hopefully the next-generation Lincoln Navigator will be almost as impressive when it enters production.
