Lamborghini debuts Gallardo LP560-4 in North America
Improved performance and dynamics is in store for those who can afford a new Lamborghini, as the Gallardo LP560-4 flaunts even more power and presence
Over 7,000 Gallardos have been sold to date and constitutes Lamborghini's bestselling model of all time. The LP560-4 is powered by a revised 5.2-liter V10 that belts out 553 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, and the car weighs some 20 kg (44 lbs) less. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and can reach 325 km/h. However, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced by 18 percent.
For better high-speed traction, handling and stability, the all-wheel drive system has been revised and the suspension got some tweaking. According the Lamborghini, the Gallardo LP560-4 is "surprisingly suited to long-distance driving"--uh-huh.
