Nissan Canada today announced pricing on the all-new 2009 Nissan cube, on sale across Canada for the first time this spring. With an MSRP of $16,998, the base model comes well equipped with standard air conditioning, privacy glass, full power features, vehicle dynamic control system (VDC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), cruise control and remote keyless entry.


With a focus on safety, standard on the cube are front and side seat airbags for both driver and passenger, as well as curtain side impact airbags for front and rear passengers.

This is not a shy driver's car, with its unique upright design with asymmetric wraparound glass and short front and rear overhangs.

The cube is offered in front-wheel drive 1.8 S and 1.8 SL models. Built on the Versa B-platform it is powered by a 122-horsepower, 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine with a fuel efficiency of 6.5L/100 km on highways (with automatic transmission according to Transport Canada Figures).

Buyers of the S model can choose between a standard 6-speed manual transmission and an optional smooth shifting Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). The SL only comes equipped with the CVT.
