New Models Show Up in Vancouver Only a Week After Debuting in New York

manufacturers being forced to display their models in tight quarters within the facility's concourse that wraps around the perimeter of BC Place Stadium, plus the highest costs and most problematic staffing arrangements of any Canadian auto show, the cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs on display were the cream of the country's crop.

What sets the Vancouver show apart is a higher number of new model and concept car introductions, many of which were not shown in Toronto or Montreal, two shows held in high esteem for the obvious reasons of their greater surrounding population. to stock it full of exciting new models and concepts, some never before seen and others either new to North America or Canada.

While most automakers first showed their upcoming new models and concepts in L.A., Detroit, Chicago and Geneva, the Montreal and Toronto shows were only able to display older concepts and the odd new model. The Vancouver show, on the other hand, showed the new Jeep Commander, thanks to a savvy group of DaimlerChrysler Canada reps that did an exceptionally good job of getting the all-new model to the event, considering the vehicle was only unveiled at the previous week's New York International Auto Show. Dodge also had an all-black Charger on the stand, that appeared as menacing as any car has ever looked.
