Three-time and defending series champion Jordan Szoke regained the championship lead of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship with two victories in round four and five of the series at Mosport International Raceway this past week end.

In the first race, the Kawasaki rider won a race shortened by the rain, finishing 0.586 sec. ahead of Clint McBain (Suzuki) after only 11 of the scheduled 20 laps.

Pole sitter Brett McCormick (Suzuki) was first on the track when the race was stopped but was penalized five seconds for a jumped start, which dropped him to third.
McCormick was then docked an additional five positions when his bike exceeded the class horsepower limit in post race technical inspection, leaving him eighth in the official results.

On Sunday, Jordan Szoke came out on top once again, just 0.274 secs. in front of Brett McCormick, with a fighting Kevin Lacombe (Yamaha) third, less than a tenth of a second behind McCormick, after the three riders traded the lead repeatedly throughout the 20-lap race.

The win gives Szoke 251 points in the Championship standings, to the 226 of McCormick in second place, heading into the penultimate round at Nova Scotia’s Atlantic Motorsport Park, Aug. 7-9.
