For the first time ever, the Vatican allowed a company to hold an event inside the Sistine Chapel.
On Saturday, Porsche invited 40 guests (who paid 5,000 euros each) to listen to a classical music concert and take part in a sumptuous dinner in the museum, surrounded by masterpieces by world-famous artists such as Michelangelo and Raphael.
Pope Francis has allowed the chapel to be rented out for private events and activities as long as all the proceeds go to charities working with the poor and homeless. His Holiness did not attend the Porsche event, however.
