This July, the Porsche Macan lineup will expand with a new 4-cylinder turbo engine that produces 252 horsepower. At 1,770 kilograms, it will be the lightest SUV ever offered by Porsche.
Canadian pricing starts at $52,700.
Capable of reaching a top speed of 229 km/h, the 4-cylinder turbocharged Porsche Macan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds (6.5 seconds with the available Sport Chrono package). Standard equipment includes a 7-speed, dual-clutch transmission and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) for sporty handling. Combined fuel economy is rated at 9.3L/100km.
This new Porsche Macan also features 18” wheels, two single tailpipes made of brushed stainless steel, lane-departure warning, Alcantara middle seat panels, a powered tailgate, and more.
In related news, the automaker announced that the new future Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system will be standard in all Cayenne models, complete with a high-resolution 7” touchscreen. The redesigned user interface uses a proximity sensor and allows gesture control, while Apple CarPlay is supported. Additionally, the new navigation module offers, for the first time, 3D representation in some regions.
