At the end of the first stage of the day (SS5), Loeb was quickest of all with Petter Solberg (Ford Fiesta WRC) and Dani Sordo in hot pursuit. The Norwegian managed to slip into second place in front of the Spaniard.

During the other two special stages, Loeb continued to push but not too hard because of the muddy and the slippery roads. Behind him, Solberg and Sordo continue to fight fiercely.

Sordo finally set his first best overall time of the event in SS8, beating Loeb by 0.2 second and Solberg by 2.2s.

Loeb's teammate at Citroen, Mikko Hirvonen, had his own private battle over fourth place against Russian Evgeny Novikov (Ford Fiesta). Sebastien Ogier, driving a Skoda Fabia S2000 (a lower category) was doing miracles but could not really keep up with the leaders.

In the last stage of the day, Loeb set again the fastest time. Sordo drove brilliantly and snatched second place overall from Solberg.

Hirvonen and Novikov followed in order, but Ogier left the road in the corner taken flat in 6th gear. Despite the force of the impact, the driver and co-driver were not injured.

Overall standings after Day 2 and SS10:
1. Sebastien Loeb (Citroën DS3)
2. Dani Sordo (MINI JCW) à 1m37s
3. Petter Solberg (Ford Fiesta) à 1m40s
4. Mikko Hirvonen (Citroen DS3) à 3m40s
