French car manufacturer Citroen has launched its new DS3 World Rally Car at the Paris Auto Show at the end of September. Here's the video of the design and development of this stunning new rally car.
The DS3 WRC has undergone massive modifications and now features the widest body allowed by the regulations - 1,820mm. It sits on 18-inch rims, features a full roll cage, a new suspension system and racing brakes.
The DS3 WRC comes with 355mm (tarmac) and 300mm (gravel) brake disks at the front and the 300mm brake disks at the rear with four-piston calipers all around. The brakes of the DS3 WRC also feature a water-cooling mechanism.
It is powered by a new WRC 1.6-litre turbocharged direct injection engine. The power output is rated at 300 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 350Nm of torque at 3,250rpm.
The motor is mated to a Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox and front and rear mechanical, auto-locking differentials.
