The first-ever Shanghai International Green Auto Show took place from June 28-30, 2016. More than 20 exhibitors and nearly 100 new energy vehicles were on display at the event.

While most of the companies were Chinese, the show’s organizers want to make this a must-stop attraction for the biggest names around the world.

Chinese leaders such as SAIC General Motors and Geely were obviously on hand to present their latest products and innovations, from passenger cars to buses and even race cars.

There were hybrids, fuel cell vehicles, and others that ran on ethanol. Geely, JAC, and BYD offered visitors the opportunity to test drive nine different models.

China is the largest producer of greenhouse gas emissions on the planet, yet the country that invests the most in green energies. Electric cars are extremely popular over there, with numerous incentives for buyers, and shows like this one can only make things even better.
