Pick your jaws up off the floor for a second and consider this; Porsche sales chief, Bernhard Maier, revealed Porsche's plans to develop a supercar that would sit a rung above the already holier than thou 911 GT2 RS.
Basically, Porsche needs a new vehicle to fill the void between the GT2 RS, the top-of-the-line 911 and the 918 Spyder Hybrid – because, really, there can be no gaping holes in Porsche makeup, now can there? And really, we won't stop them from wanting to fill that gap with something that's going to undoubtedly be an absolute joy to drive.
Porsche also mentioned that the technology developed for this new supercar could in turn help create additional variants of the Boxster and Cayman as well as convertible and extended-wheelbase versions of the Panamera.
