The new Subaru Impreza 5-Door Concept made its global debut today at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Show. It’s the first of the next-generation vehicles envisioned in Subaru’s “Prominence 2020″ strategic plan, which was announced in May 2014.

The ultra-dynamic exterior of this concept is lower and wider than the current Impreza 5-Door. The signature hexagonal grille up front is still there, along with a new take on the hawk-eye headlights. The taillights share the same motif, while 19” wheels give the car’s profile a robust, sporty look.

Standing 4.4 metres long, 1.88 metre wide, and 1.44 metre tall, the new Subaru Impreza 5-Door Concept offers seating for five. No word about the engine under the hood, however.
