There are about 75,000 Tesla owners around the world, and collectively they have travelled more than one billion kilometres so far – completely emission-free. This represents 4,000 trips to the moon or 40,000 trips around the Earth, and more importantly almost half a million ton of CO2 saved.

Since the launch of the Tesla Model S in 2012, the electric car maker from California has implemented 445 Superchargers and thousands of Destination Charging locations spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.

To celebrate the milestone, Tesla is kicking off the Next Billion Miles Tour which will travel across the three continents offering customers the opportunity to experience the Model S.
