Ever since inventing the three-point seatbelt, Volvo has been innovating and improving its automobiles and trucks to make them safer. For a few decades now, the company has been developing concept cars which not only include safety as a top priority but also push the envelope in terms of design and styling. The Museum showcases key moments and vehicles which highlight these core values of Volvo.
Rally and racing
Volvo made a name for itself in the rally world in the '60s and '70s. Later, the company won the Sport Sedan Championship with the Volvo 850T. A section dedicated to this illustrious racing tradition awaits visitors at the Museum.
United museum
Even though Volvo Cars and AB Volvo are now two separate entities, both management boards decided to keep all the products under the same roof. We'd like to thank the director, Sten-äke Lyngstam, for his time and generosity. As a Volvo fan who convinced his father to buy a first Swedish car in 1967, it proved to be a wonderful trek through time.
