As far as the four-wheel drive functions are concerned, let's mention that this Ram was created mostly for hard work more than sporty off-roading. Nevertheless, as mentionned before, the 4 x 4 characteristics are very useful in winter on snow or ice.
The new Dodge Ram should be another smashing success as long as the price of gasoline stays reasonably low. Nonetheless, the new Ram is also a very able workhorse, more than a fancy boulevard cruiser. The optional 5.9-litre V8 should be better for pulling a trailer but its design is becoming very old and it might not be as fuel efficient as the 4.7 (which is not a champ in this 4 x 4 Ram as far as economy is concerned). Very serious rumors have it that a new more powerful Hemi V8 might find its way under the hood of the new Ram. But that would be for later?probably next spring!
