The 2007 Lincoln MKX (pronounced Mark X) and the Ford Edge were unveiled. Based on a new chassis, these crossover utility vehicles will be powered by Ford's all-new 250 hp 3.5L V6 mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The MKX uses many of the classic design cues such as the horizontal grille, the hood and the rear taillights that remind us of the old Mark VIII. The MKX and Edge will optionally be driven by all 4 wheels.

Both will be built in Oakville, Ontario. By 2010 hybrid versions of both will also be built in Oakville.

As well, Ford also introduced the Shelby Mustang GT500 to the Canadian public.  It is highly motivated by a superchrged 5.4L V8.  Output is rated at 475 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque.  This is the fastest, most powerful production Mustang ever.
