Toyota's Ray Tanguay, President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, has just announced that their Woodstock, Ontario plant will increase production and therefore be adding a second shift.
Putting together new RAV4s will create 800 new jobs and hiring begins now. The shift will officially begin work in March 2010.
This is an impressive move especially considering the economic times. This is great news on many levels as it demonstrates a strong vote of confidence in the product, the assembly line and the future of the auto business in Ontario and Canada and its parts suppliers.
