Volkswagen unveiled a sportier R-Line concept version of its new Golf Wagon at the Geneva Motor Show, marking a first in the model's history.

The interior of the VW Golf Wagon R-Line features ergonomically shaped, leather-trimmed sport seats. Carbon-looking leather is used for the inner surfaces of the side bolsters, while Space Blue Nappa leather graces the centre panels.

Outside, the Golf Wagon R-Line sports dual tailpipes, modified side skirts, 18” sport alloy wheels, a massive air intake framed to the left and the right by two body-coloured diagonal bars, and two smaller air intakes with a fog light inserted into them. Under the hood is a 2.0L 4-cylinder TDI engine that produces 150 horsepower.

Volkswagen did not specify production plans nor North American availability.
