VW's Polo is a friendly, efficient and flexible little three-door or five-door model that brings its owners plenty of style and selection. Currently available in 3 distinct trim levels, Polo been a familiar model to European shoppers since the seventies.
In its current guise, Polo gets standard ABS with brake assist, power accessories, a pollen filter, tilt / telescopic steering and more. The options list includes tinted glass, parking assist, a Bluetooth phone interface, self-dimming rearview mirror, ESP and head-curtain airbags.
So why are we telling you about a popular Volkswagen that's not for sale here? Rumor has it that the Polo is coming from Europe to our shores--landing in the USA and thus in Canada sometime in the future. It could replace the City Golf in VW's product lineup here, too.
Polo is motivated by a large selection of engines, ranging from a 60-horsepower gas engine to a 130-horsepower diesel. Five gas engines and four diesels are available--though this selection won't make its way to us Canadians if the Polo goes on sale here.
No dates have been selected or targeted for market launch of the Polo in North America--but fans of the car are advised to keep their eyes peeled for more information.
