Canadian driver Kuno Wittmer was confirmed on the Acura No 44 of RealTime team of Peter Cunningham yesterday. He will be driving the championship-winning car in the SCCA World Challenge Touring class in 2009.
Third in the standings for the past two seasons, Wittmer is confident to fight for the title this season. It will be his forth in the series.
Wittmer ranked second of the first practice session of the opening race of the 2009 series, Tuesday morning, in Sebring. Qualification and first race of the season will take place this Friday.
Kunick Autosport will announce soon the rest of the schedule for both Wittmer brothers. Nick Wittmer will race in a Canadian touring series but there are other projects being considered at this point.
