The world debut of both the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Porsche Cayenne Diesel will take place at this year's 2009 Geneva Motor Show. The pair of models come from the same pedigree, though each has a very different intention.

The Cayenne Diesel will sport a three-liter turbo-diesel V6 sourced from Audi, boasting 240 horsepower and average consumption of just over 9L / 100km. Porsche says that their stake in the Volkswagen Group has opened up doors for the use of this engine, which isn't planned for sale in North America.

Porsche says the Cayenne Diesel will emit carbon dioxide at a rate of just 244 grams per kilometer while delivering athletic performance and instant throttle response.

Taking a sleeker, more powerful and more on-road focused approach, the latest 911 GT3 will also bow for the first time at t he 79th annual show. 10 years after its introduction, the naturally aspirated, rear-engine GT3 hits new heights of speed and performance, thanks in part to a boost in output to 435 horsepower.

Active suspension and active motor mounts are among the GT3's features, and drivers can disengage the stability management program in various 'steps' according to their skill level and intentions.

Owners who foot the $138,000 bill for the new GT3 will be treated to acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of well over 310 kmh.
