Sebastien Loeb (Citroen) stands in first position after the second day of rally Finland, only 1.5 second ahead of team mate Sébastien Ogier and 2.6 second ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala’s Ford.
Loeb tried to avoid to start in first position on Saturday for the final stages of the rally, that’s why he checked deliberately late before the last Friday stage, to get a ten second penalty. But Ogier slowed down enough at the end of the stage to drop back to second position, only 1.5 second behind his team mate. Those tactical maneuvers helped Jari-Matti Latvala’s Ford Fiesta to close on both Citroen drivers, as the Finn stands in third place only 2.6 second behind Loeb before the final day.
Petter Solberg was following far behind the three drivers, as the Norwegian driver stands with a 30 seconds deficit behind the three leading drivers aboard his private Citroen DS3. Solberg was 4th ahead of the Ford Fiesta Stobart driven by young Mads Ostberg and the second work Ford Fiesta driven by Mikko Hirvonen, who is catching up after he had a contact with a tree in the very first stage of the rally on Thursday. The Finn stands now 6th ahead of both Mini Countryman driven by Dani Sordo and Kris Meeke.
Classification after day 2:
1. Sébastien Loeb (Citroen DS3) in 1h29’01’’3
2. Sébastien Ogier (Citroen DS3) + 1’’5
3. Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford Fiesta) + 2’’6
4. Petter Solberg (Citroen DS3) + 29’’2

6. Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Fiesta) + 1’28’’7
7. Dani Sordo (Mini Countryman) + 1’36’’2
