Sébastien Loeb (Citroen DS3 R3) leads after first day of Rally of Sardinia.

The French World Champion leads private Citroen DS3 R3 of Petter Solberg (+33,2 seconds) and the Ford Fiesta of Mikko Hirvonen (+53,1). The Finn lost a lot of time when he suffered a puncture in ESS3.

Sébastien Ogier (Citroen DS3 R3) stands in fourth position overall, after he deliberately slowed down at the end of the day in a tactical move to start behind the leading cars tomorrow.

The Frenchman leads Mads Ostberg (Ford Fiesta) and the Mini Countryman of Dani Sordo, the British make making a return to world rallying in Italy.
