Despite Seat withdrawing, the WTCC is confident for his future, waiting for the new rules in 2011.

Although Seat stopped its official implication in the serie, the spanish brand will still be running in the 2010 with private teams. ORECA may run one or two cars, with probably 2009 world champion Gabriele Tarquini. In 2009, ORECA ran two official Seat Leon for Yvan Muller and Tiago Monteiro.

Private Seat could fight for the victory, beside the five remaining official cars : three Chevrolet Cruze (Y. Muller, Huff and Menu) and two BMW (Farfus and Priaulx).

Moreover, 2011 new regulations (with the « universal » 1600cc engin, which will be used in both WTCC and WRC), will reduce the costs. Ford, Subaru, Mazda… and Seat looked to be interested to enter the WTCC in the future.
