Colin Kolles, the businessman who briefly managed the small Caterham Formula 1 team last year, announced that his team, renamed ByKOLLES Racing would return to endurance racing this season.
ByKOLLES Racing Friday announced its entry application in the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship including the 24 hours of Le Mans in LMP 1 with the newly developed 2015 CLM P1 with sponsorship from YELLOWINGS. Colin Kolles’ team has been competing in motorsport for over 14 years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from successful participation in WEC, F1, DTM and other formula series. In a press release, the team says its has made progress on the CLM P1 thanks to a new gearbox, new front and rear suspension, aerodynamic modifications and performance upgrades throughout, including a significant weight reduction. The new CLM P1/01 will be unveiled ahead of the official pre-season test session at Paul Ricard in March. Further driver and sponsor announcements will be made in due course.
