In the summer of 1995, Jean-Philippe Paquin, a young Canadian entrepreneur and technophile, develops a passion for automobiles thanks in part to being the son of a franchised dealer. Paquin establishes Services Internet Autolinq Inc.
In January 1996, Autolinq Inc. becomes the very first company to advise car dealerships on how to use the Internet as a new means of communicating directly with their customers. Jean-Philippe Paquin creates the first innovative Internet platform which today serves as the technological basis to integrate marketing strategies for automotive dealer websites.
In December 1999, Autolinq creates the first bilingual Internet portal for the auto industry in Canada: Auto123.com.
In 2002, Auto123.com, now the biggest web portal in Canada dedicated to automobiles, adds an auto racing section. A Green section is added in 2004, and a Video section is added in 2006.
