British driver James Thompson will miss the 2009 WTCC season, after team N Technology announced it was withdrawing from the series.
After a long-time association with Alfa Romeo, N Technology decided to switch to Honda for the 2008 season. The beginning of the new Honda Accord were delayed, but then the car made impressive progress, and eventually clinched victory late in the season in Imola. But since Honda withdrew their support to several motorsport categories, N Technology was forced to stop their WTCC program. Thompson is now looking for a solution, maybe to compete in the Swedish Supertourism series, or even in a GT series. Photos: WTCC
