Fernando Alonso is confident McLaren can overcome the teething problems it is facing in early winter testing, according to Flavio Briatore.
"I spoke with Fernando," the former Benetton and Renault boss told Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport. "And he is not worried at all. It's normal to have problems at that point. Better now than on March 15 in Melbourne. "That's what testing is for, fixing problems," he added.
Briatore also refuses to draw conclusions from Ferrari's strong form in Jerez. "It's a good thing they got to do more laps than last year, but you have to be careful. We'll know more at the next test," he said. "The only thing we know for sure, is that Mercedes will dominate like last year."
