By claiming victory on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, young German driver Sebastian Vettel of the Red Bull Racing team became the youngest World Champion in the history of Formula 1.
Vettel scored his fifth victory of the 2010 season, having already won in Malaysia, in the streets of Valencia, in Japan and in Brazil. Vettel finished on top of the drivers’ point standings with a total of 256 points. His main rival in the title chase, Fernando Alonso ranks second with 252 points, ahead of Mark Webber (Red Bull Racing, 242), Lewis Hamilton (McLaren, 240) and Jenson Button (McLaren, 214 points).
