McLaren Formula 1 ran its Honda-powered MP4-30 Monday at Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, Spain.
The second, four-day pre-season test will be held on Barcelona’s circuit later this week, from February 19 to 22. Today, Jenson Button drove the new challenger in a controlled environment for filming purposes. Sporting regulations out a severe restriction on such running of F1 cars. Each team is allowed two 'promotional events' a year, with each limited to a maximum of 100km a day. The car must also be shod on a set of special Pirelli demonstration tires.
