The state of Qatar could host a formula one race as early as next year, according to France's AFP.
The news agency learnt Sunday that the parties involved only had "details" to sort out before finalizing the deal. Nasser bin Khalifa al-Attiyah, the boss of the national motorsport federation of Qatar, confirmed the news: "We are about to sign contracts to organise a Formula One race," he told AFP. "We have completed all the steps and there are only a few details before the official signature." The race would be held in Doha, either in the city's streets or at the permanent Lusail International Circuit. Recent Articles
