What can be said except that a Renault finished in front of a Williams, a McLaren, a Toyota, a Toro Rosso, a BMW-Sauber, a Red Bull and another Williams on the first ever Formula 1 Night Grand Prix?
Fernando Alonso won this morning -- evening in Singapore -- his first race since the Bresilian Grand Prix last year. He got lucky, for once, when the safety car completed marvelously his strategy. "After a terrible qualification for us yesterday where we got very unlucky, today, luck was on our side. I cannot believe we won a race this year! I am so happy for everyone on my team that work so hard to make it work. "We got lucky but it feels good to win. It's probably going to take me a couple of days to realise it fully", said the exhausted Alonso after a long race under 69% humidex. Surprisingly, the Renault's victory does not begin to tell how special was this race. Nico Rosberg brought back his Williams to a second place finish even if he was forced by the officials to a drive-through penalty during the race. Lewis Hamilton looks like he doesn't fit in this top-eight where we can,t even find one Ferrari car. Consequently, this third place victory feels like a victory for Hamilton that increases substantially his lead of the championship. Raikkonen sent his Ferrari in the walls of the street-circuit with only four laps to do to the 61 laps race. Massa finished symbolicaly 13th of the 14th finisher. After Vettel's victory two weeks ago in Italy, it is the second consecutive Grand Prix with quite surprising results.
