From press release
If you’re between 8 and 12 years of age and live in Canada, check this out: You could be the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Canada’s Junior Reporter. The Grand Prix of Canada and Teletoon are seeking out a young person to get “up close and mechanical” as a Junior Reporter for the entire race weekend from June 4 to 7 in Montreal. “We want to allow as many boys and girls as possible to experience all the fun and excitement of a Formula 1 Grand Prix,” says François Dumontier, President and CEO of Octane Racing Group Inc. and President of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Canada. “That’s why we, in collaboration with Teletoon, are particularly proud to introduce this new contest designed especially for them.” The winner will be invited to film some short video reports that will be shown on the closed circuit screens during all three days of the race weekend and across social media. Accompanied by a team from the Grand Prix of Canada and one parent, the Junior Reporter will be given all of the appropriate credentials. The Junior Reporter will also be able to invite family and friends to enjoy the weekend with him or her since the winner’s prize will include 12 seats in the family-friendly Grandstand 33 for all three days of the event along with a copy of the official program for all guests. There will also be a second-place winner of eight three-day tickets in the same grandstand along with programs and a third-place winner of four seats and programs. To enter, boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12 and their parents must send in a 45-second video that explains why the child would be the ideal Junior Reporter. This video must be received by Octane Racing Group either electronically or through the mail by May 24, 2015. The winner must be available to record his or her video reports for two hours each morning on June 4 to 7. The complete rules of the contest are available online at www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca.
