Patrick Carpentier took advantage of the last good days of the year in North Carolina for some private testing with his crew chief Mike Shiplett at the legendary Rockingham race track on Saturday 15.
He drove the No 10 GEM Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge and said he had felt the most comfortable ever behind the wheel of a NASCAR car. According to his business partner Robert Desrosiers, there was another driver on the track, veteran Dave Blaney, but Patrick was constantly faster all day long though Pat and his team tested many racing configurations. The next time Patrick Carpentier will be driving the No 10 Dodge, it will be in early January at Daytona before the Daytona 500 official test days.
